Biografia Avril Lavigne

Avril Ramona Lavigne nasceu em 27 de setembro de 1984, na cidade de
Belleville, Canadá. Cresceu na pequena Napanee, onde cantava em corais de
igreja e festivais locais. Já aos 2 anos recebeu de sua mãe o apelido de "pequeno
pássaro cantante". Aos 13 anos, em 1998, a garota venceu um concurso de uma
rádio local e teve a oportunidade de se apresentar ao lado de Shania Twain para
20 mil pessoas. A partir daí Lavigne não parou mais. Aos 15, Avril abandonou a
escola e foi mandada por seus pais para New York, onde trabalhou com L.A. Reid,
Cliff Magness e The Matrix, grandes compositores e produtores musicais. Apesar
da pressão para seguir o country ou o pop, ela sabia bem o que queria: rock. E
assim foi feito.
